We are well into summer and just at the stage of the year when people are looking to book a late summer deal.
For a lot of people September and October are the best times of year to travel because it means that most of the children are back to school and it is a good time for a bit more of a quiet relaxing holiday away from screaming kids! Kos and Rhodes are both similar in that they have some of the most beautiful little spots, whilst still having a lot of excitement about them in the main towns, but Kefalonia, whilst not offering the same sort of rowdy experience in the towns, perhaps shades it in terms of scenery. It really depends on your tastes. Kefalonia is certainly a lot more green than the other islands thanks to its more northerly location, but this also means that the weather can be a little more hit and miss, and some people love the barren landscapes you get in the southern Greek islands because it is so unusual in Europe

Whichever island you eventually decide to go for, you will find plenty of good deals on the internet. It is by far the best place to look if you are hoping for choice and value. You will find more holidays in an hour browsing on the internet than you could do in a week looking on your local towns. The prices should be very good too by this time of year. If you are looking to book a late deal in august, any availability by this stage should be good value, and anything a bit later will be that much cheaper anyway.
